Van Insurance

Whether you need commercial van insurance for business use or private van insurance for personal use , getting the right level of cover is important.

We know that one van owner's needs will be different to the next. That's why we've created van insurance with optional extras available for an additional premium - such as protected no claims discount or tools in van cover - to make sure you get the cover you need, without paying for what you don't.

What we cover

Standard

  • Windscreen and Glass Repair cover (available as standard with comprehensive cover only, £60 excess applies if your windscreen needs replacing)
  • Liability to 3rd parties – you’re covered for claims against you for personal injury with no upper limit, and damage to 3rd parties’ property for up to £2 million

Optional extras

  • Optional Windscreen and Glass Repair cover for Third Party or Third Party, Fire and Theft customers
  • Up to £100,000 of Motor Legal Expenses cover if you have an accident where you are not to blame, you have the right to claim from the person responsible
  • Tools in Van cover – Choose from £2,500 and £5,000 cover options
  • Key Care - £1,500 annual cover for locksmith’s charges, new locks and keys, car hire and onward transport costs. Simply attach the fob with your unique reference number on it to your keys (only keys attached to the fob are covered)
  • RAC Breakdown Cover provides a repair service at the roadside, your home or office. If your vehicle cannot be fixed where it is, it can be recovered to a local garage or a destination of your choice.
  • Replacement Van – similar to your own, provided for 14 days in the event of a total loss claim
  • Personal Accident Cover - £50,000 cash benefit following death or serious injury following a road traffic accident
  • Excess Protection - Covers your excess cost in the event of a claim

Exclusions and limitations apply. Please read the  Policy Document  for full details.

European Online Dispute Resolution platform

The European Commission has also established a European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR platform).

The ODR platform is a web-based platform that will allow customers who have bought a product or service online, within the EU, to submit a complaint online via the platform.

Whilst the ODR platform cannot resolve your complaint, it will help facilitate the resolution of a dispute by referring it to the relevant Alternative Dispute Resolution Provider, in our case the UK Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and offer a translation service for cross-border disputes.

You can access the ODR platform by clicking here.
